ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

            Thirty batches of students have gone out of the College since its establishment in 1980.Almost all of them are members of the Alumni Association of the College. It could play a prominent role in the overall development of the College since it comprises members from the different strata of the society. The College which was started in a remote village lacked basic infrastructures like proper buildings, play ground, hostel etc. at that time. Commutation was also a major hurdle.

Now things have improved a lot and the role played by the Alumni Association is worth mentioning. Alumni has an executive body comprising 38 members including president ,vice-president, secretary, joint secretary,  treasurer and a coordinator. In every year January 26^th is celebrated as ALUMNI DAY of T.M.G.College .    Family get together and cultural activities are organized by them in this day .Also in each year Alumni will pay esteem to retiring teachers of that year by arranging a farewell. The general and departmental Alumni Associations meet regularly and has been taking up various issues. It has taken interest in the welfare and progress of its Alma mater.

                The Alumni Association has decided to take up the following this year:

a)            to institute a poor student aid fund,

b)            to provide the departments with book shelves, tables, periodicals etc,

c)             to furnish the Seminar Hall,

d)            to conduct extracurricular activities like literary competitions,

e)            to provide career guidance to final year students,

f)             to institute awards to rank holders, and

g)            to pressure the authorities to sanction new courses.

We are looking forward to a future in which an effective and dynamic Alumni

Association would stay and strive hard to foster its Alma mater. 

    Report of College Alumni 2010

During this Academic this year Alumni conducted   four executive meetings. Alumni   representatives participated in each programs held in the college such as college festivals, foundation stone laying for staff quarters etc. Family get   together of first batch of T M G College (1980-1981) was held on  18-09-2010.Around two hundred members participated. They decided to sponsor   a garden after the completion of the main gate of the college.
